OUR APPROACH
At Park Avenue Wrought Iron, we believe every project should leave the client confident that the product they receive has been crafted with care, precision, and longevity in mind.
Our work reflects the principles the business was founded on — thoughtful design, quality materials, and fabrication methods that prioritise durability over shortcuts.
While our designs are inspired by the timeless character of traditional wrought iron, our gates and fencing are fabricated using modern Australian-made steel or aluminium. These materials provide superior structural performance, improved corrosion resistance when properly galvanised or coated, and smoother long-term operation when paired with automation systems.
This approach allows us to deliver the classic architectural appearance clients expect, while ensuring the finished product meets contemporary performance standards and requires minimal ongoing maintenance.
Every project receives the same attention to detail, whether it is a single pedestrian gate or a large automated entry system. We continually refine our processes and fabrication techniques to ensure our work remains at the forefront of the industry.
All steel products are hot dip galvanised for maximum corrosion protection, with aluminium options available for coastal or high-exposure environments.
OUR MATERIALS – THE TRUTH ABOUT “WROUGHT IRON”
While our name reflects the timeless character of wrought iron design, the materials we use reflect modern engineering standards.
Traditional wrought iron is rarely used in contemporary gate manufacturing due to its cost, weight, limited availability, and ongoing maintenance requirements.
Instead, our gates and fencing are fabricated using high-quality mild steel or aluminium, which provide superior structural strength, improved corrosion resistance when galvanised or coated, and smoother long-term operation when paired with automation systems.
This approach allows us to achieve the classic wrought iron aesthetic while delivering modern durability, reduced maintenance, and consistent fabrication quality.
In practice, the term “wrought iron” describes the style and heritage of our work rather than the historical material itself.
DESIGN & VISUALISATION
All design and shop drawings at Park Avenue Wrought Iron are completed in-house, ensuring every project is carefully resolved before fabrication begins.
Using modern CAD modelling, we develop each gate, fence, or architectural element to confirm proportions, clearances, fixing methods, and automation requirements prior to manufacture.
We also offer an interactive 3D visualization tool that allows clients to explore their design from multiple angles, virtually moving around the model to better understand scale, placement, and detailing before fabrication begins. This helps refine decisions early and provides greater confidence in the final outcome.
By resolving these elements in the design stage, we minimize on-site adjustments, reduce installation risks, and ensure the finished product integrates cleanly with the surrounding structure.
Our design process is not about producing drawings for their own sake, it exists to ensure the finished product fits precisely and performs exactly as intended once installed.
